Description

This poached egg in air fryer recipe is fast, clean, and foolproof. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or layering into a Southern-style eggs Benedict.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 large egg (room temperature)

  • 3 tablespoons hot water

  • 1 ramekin (air fryer safe)

  • Oil spray or butter for greasing

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the ramekin with oil or butter.

  2. Pour 3 tablespoons of hot water into the ramekin.

  3. Crack one egg into the ramekin carefully to avoid breaking the yolk.

  4. Place ramekin into the preheated air fryer set at 375°F.

  5. Cook for 5–6 minutes for a soft yolk or 7–8 minutes for firmer yolks.

  6. Remove ramekin carefully with tongs, season, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for even cooking.

Do not skip the hot water—it’s key to poaching.

Ramekin size matters—standard 6 oz ramekins work best.

Perfect for topping toast, muffins, or salads.
