Description

Learn how to make the crispiest sweet potato fries using your air fryer. This quick and healthy side dish is full of flavor and perfect for weeknight dinners or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes (peeled and cut into 1/4-inch fries)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt (to taste, after cooking)

  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cornstarch for extra crispiness

Instructions

  1. Soak sweet potato fries in cold water for 30 minutes, then pat them completely dry.

  2. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 3 minutes.

  3. Toss the fries in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and a light dusting of cornstarch (optional).

  4. Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  5. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

  6. Check for doneness and crispiness; add 2–3 minutes if needed.

  7. Sprinkle with salt after cooking and serve hot with your favorite dip.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for best results.

Cut fries uniformly to ensure even cooking.

Great served with garlic aioli, chipotle mayo, or maple-mustard dipping sauce.
